Cats protection adoption fee

Cat Adoption / April 10, 2023

Shelter Hours

Tuesday–Saturday
12–4:30 p.m.

Please allow at least a half hour to complete the adoption process.

NatCat will be closed on:

  • New Year's Day
  • Independence Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

The pet adoption process begins with a visit to one of our cat shelters.

When you arrive at NatCat, please sign in and complete the pre-adoption questionnaire. A pet adoption counselor will gladly give you information on the cats and kittens available for adoption and ultimately, on the ones that interest you.

NatCat encourages your entire household to visit to ensure that the animal you choose for adoption is compatible with everyone.

Prior to adoption, NatCat:

  • Makes sure all cats are spayed or neutered
  • Checks all cats for good health and sound temperament
  • Makes sure all cats have been tested for feline leukemia, given vaccinations or annual boosters and de-wormed
  • Microchips all cats for easy identification if they go missing

Please ask your veterinarian to thoroughly examine your new kitty and vaccinate him or her against any other diseases.

To finalize the adoption process, you must read, understand and sign a required Adoption Agreement, and pay the established fees.

Adoption Fee: Our adoption fee starts at $75. If you plan to adopt a cat or kitten and currently own a cat carrier, please bring it with you. NatCat requires that you transport any adopted kitty in a secure carrier.

Incoming Cats: To relinquish an adult cat, you must call during regular business hours and make an appointment. Due to limited space, we may need to place your cat on our waiting list. Our relinquishment fee is $50 for each kitty.
